MyKinkFile collects only the information you provide directly: your email address, account password (stored as a secure hash), and the kink/fantasy/limits data you enter into your profile. We do not collect names, phone numbers, or payment information.

Your data is used solely to operate the MyKinkFile service — to authenticate you, store your kink profile, generate quiz results, and display your public profile if you choose to make it public. We do not sell, share, or monetise your data in any way.

You control who sees your profile. Three privacy settings are available:

• Public — anyone with the URL can view your profile.
• Link Only — only people you share the link with can view it.
• Private — only you can view your profile.

Your profile is set to Private by default. You can change this at any time in Settings.

Passwords are hashed using bcrypt and never stored in plain text. API access is protected with JWT tokens. All traffic is served over HTTPS. While no system is perfectly secure, we take reasonable measures to protect your information.

Your data is retained for as long as your account exists. You can permanently delete your account and all associated data at any time from the Settings page. Deletion is immediate and irreversible.

MyKinkFile uses HTTP-only cookies for secure session management and localStorage to store your analytics consent preference. We use Google Analytics to collect anonymous usage data (page views, feature usage) — this is only activated if you explicitly accept the consent banner. No personal kink, quiz, or profile data is ever sent to Google Analytics.

MyKinkFile is intended for adults aged 18 and over. By registering, you confirm you meet this age requirement.
